The raggedy trainer, Joa, and her posh pokemon, Charmander, entered PokeCenter. They'd been on the road for a week. They would have been to Viridian City sooner, but they'd been caught in a down pour that lasted a couple of days. Charmander, of course, didn't want to get in the pokeball, so they had to wait it out. Anyways, Joa went and got some food for Charry and herself. Setting the fire pokemon's food on the table that they were sitting at. Charmander looked at the food in disgust. It was JUST ordinary pokemon food. His growling stomach got the best of him in the end. Eating slowly, as if that would prevent the gross taste, he avoided looking at his trainer. Joa munched on a veggie burger. She wasn't exactly Miss Prim and Proper when it came to eating. Every once in a while, the goggles (which served pretty much no important, although it was pleasant to have them, if she ever decide to take a swim) would fall off of the top of her forehead and down to her eyes. Pushing them up, she looked at Charmander and felt a pang of pride. He's my pokemon. My very own pokemon. She thought. A faint smile twitched on her lips. When she realize that Charry wasn't eating as much as a growing pokemon should, she tore off a bit of her food and offered it to him. He looked at it and gingerly took it out of her hands and into his mouth. What was this? This must be the food of gods. What Lugia and Ho-oh must feast on! Joa smiled as she saw Charmander perk up. Picking off half of her veggie burger, she handed it to Charmander, who scarfed it down. She smiled, a full smile that showed off her teeth. She had a feeling that Charmander wouldn't always be all prim and proper, her grungyness was already rubbing off on him!
